English Club for Inquisitive Students

P2163335.jpgThe ECIS (the English Club for Inquisitive Students) had a special gathering on 16th February. It was devoted to the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens, the famous English writer. 11 members of the club were previously involved in looking for interesting information about the writer's life and literary activity. All club members got the task and decided by themselves the way of presenting the results of their search. They found some video, made a test on it, developed the idea of Dickens' travelling by train and a train accident at the end of his life.

P2163337.jpgIn the end of the gathering all the guests and students were amazed by a wonderful gallery of Dickens' portraits made in different periods of his life, as well as by the students' presentation of the writer's most interesting facts of life and peculiarities of his creative work. The animated cartoon about Ch. Dickens impressed everybody by a simple way of rendering the context and the eloquent English language. The members of the ECIS and its guests spent a very good time, having English tea and a friendly talk together.
