INTERACT MET MAY IN MARCH. *

On March 21 Interact delegation returned from Israel, where it took part in the first International Youth Conference Rotary: the leaders of peace. The conference was attended by 150 participants from 20 countries; all the participants were aged 15-29 years. The conference was held entirely in English, all kinds of activities at the conference were interactive: project work, group activities, focus groups, etc... The delegation from Cherkasy lived in the camp, Ben-Shemen, in the outskirts of Tel Aviv. The participants not only worked, but also actively studied the history of Israel and besides Tel Aviv visited Jerusalem, Akka, Haifa, etc. And the project Hackaton at the Google’s headquarters, which lasted all night long, stayed in memory as a form of extreme and a wonderful example of teamwork. We also got unforgettable impressions of a sharp transition from winter to summer (36), and flourishing of the local nature.
