The launch of the Cambridge English Support Programme for Preparation Centres in Ukraine

Cambridge English Language Assessment is a not-for-profit department of the University of Cambridge and a division of Cambridge Assessment. Cambridge English offers the world’s most valuable range of qualifications for learners and teachers of English. Over 4 million people take their exams each year in more than 130 countries. Over 15, 000 universities, employers, government ministries and other organisations around the world recognise Cambridge English qualifications as proof of English language ability. The quality of the exams and the positive impact Cambridge English has depends on the work of thousands of professionals. They include 2, 800 authorised examination centres, over 52, 000 registered preparation centres and tens of thousands of examiners, teachers and publishers in 130 countries.

The reception to mark the launch of the Cambridge English Support Programme for Preparation Centres took place on the 1st of  October 2014 at the Residence of Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador Simon Smith,Kyiv.

Opening Speeches were made by Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador Simon Smith; Alistair Starling, Director Northern Europe, Cambridge English Language Assessment “Modern Trends in English Language Teaching and Assessment”; Michael Carrier, Director, Strategic Partnership, Cambridge English Language Assessment “Cambridge English Support Programme for Preparation Centres in Ukraine”; Arek Jaworski, Head of Marketing Northern Europe; Daryna Sizhuk, Consultant Ukraine, Cambridge English Language Assessment. All those present were delighted with the award presentation to the Gold Cambridge Preparation Centres. Later they enjoyed live music and networking.

N.Ananieva, Deputy Headteacher, took part in the reception. She could also communicate with Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador Simon Smith and many Ukrainian teachers of English who work in the Cambridge English Language Preparation Centres.
