THE WEEK OF FRANCOPHONIE STARTS TODAY.*
From 21 to 26 March the week of Francophonie is held at the gymnasia.
La Francophonie (FR. The Francophonie) is a Francophone space of the country, where French is spoken.
The International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) was founded on March 20, 1970 in Nigeria, uniting its participants around a common language – French. Moreover, the initiators of the movement were not the French but African countries – former France's colonies. Over the years of the OIF’s existence, 70 countries have become its members, 56 of them are full members and 14 observers. At the 2006 summit of La Francophonie in Bucharest, the status of observer was given to the Ukraine.
The Coordinator of the Week at the gymnasia is T. G. Mokrushina, a French teacher.
Below is the plan of events for the Week.
