Social Pedagogue – a pedagogical worker who is part of the school's psychological service. The main goal of their work is to ensure the socio-legal protection of students and to prevent the influence of negative social factors on the formation and development of the child's personality. The psychological service in the educational institution is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Declaration of Human Rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Law of Ukraine "On Education", current legislation of Ukraine, and the Ethical Code of the Psychologist and Social Pedagogue.
The social pedagogue closely cooperates with healthcare authorities, social protection agencies, family and youth services, internal affairs bodies, as well as with public and charitable organizations.
