Honored Teacher of Ukraine is a state award of Ukraine, an honorary title of Ukraine. The original name was Honored Teacher of the Ukrainian SSR.
Currently, it is awarded by the President of Ukraine in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On State Awards of Ukraine”. According to the Regulation on Honorary Titles of Ukraine of June 29, 2001, this title is awarded to teachers of general education and teachers of other educational institutions of the general secondary education system of all types for achieving significant success in teaching and upbringing of students.
