The Gymnasium Club of Young Aquarists is a voluntary school organization that promotes the expansion of knowledge about the marine world and marine organisms, encourages gymnasium students to learn about the inhabitants of the water depths.
The club was created in the fall of 2015 after the school received a new aquarium and installed it in its walls. A little later, another, larger aquarium was installed on the second floor of the gymnasium.
This is how the need and interest arose to create a group of gymnasium students who would take care of the aquariums, keep them clean and promote aquatic activities among the students.
The head of the club is Valeriy Silenko, a teacher of history and law, Honored Teacher of Ukraine.
The first president of the club was Maria Samokhvalova.
The second president was Viktor Tavienko (11-B).

Over the six years of the club's existence, many quizzes and competitions have been held among gymnasium students for knowledge of the water depths. Also, since the summer of 2016, the club has been cooperating with the Nautilus aquarium club in Cherkasy.
The aquariums are cleaned weekly by the club's leader and members, and the members talk about the proper care of aquariums and fish to all interested gymnasium students. The club holds fundraisers to diversify aquarium decorations, buy food and fish.
Participants carefully select fish species before placing them in aquariums and create all the necessary conditions for their life. For example, the aquariums contain scalarias, neons, parrots, discus, catfish...
School aquariums add a calm and comfortable atmosphere to the gymnasium. Every day the fish attract a large number of visitors. The Young Aquarists Club unites gymnasium students around a common cause, and caring for the fish creates a sense of responsibility. The club members meet every Thursday at 11:05 a.m. in room 30 to discuss the club's activities and make suggestions for its development.
In the summer of 2020, the gymnasium received a new 150-liter aquarium with parrot fish (see photo).
