Interact is a youth Rotary program of the World Rotary Movement www.rotary.org
Just like adult Rotarians, Interact members are engaged in long-term socially beneficial programs of service to society.
Interact has its own logo. All Interact members wear badges with the logo, which are presented to them by the city's Rotarians.
The Interact-Cherkasy club was founded on November 23, 2003, on the initiative of the Rotary Club Cherkasy Center. Students from several schools gathered for the first time in the premises of the SPECIALIZED SECONDARY SCHOOL NO. 17, and this school was the location of the Club until May 31, 2008. On September 1, 2009, the Club moved to the First City Gymnasium in Cherkasy.
The Club was officially registered with the Cherkasy City Council by notification on January 23, 2004.

On November 23, 2023, the Club celebrated its 20th anniversary. The Club's priorities remain the same:
The priority areas of the Club's work are:
- help with the pupils of the regional rehabilitation center for minors “Warm House” (tel. (0472) 64-22-00)
- work in the city dog shelter
- work in a geriatric nursing home
The club has repeatedly hosted students from American schools. They studied at school No. 17 and at the PPMG.
In July 2010, the President of Interact from the sister city of Santa Rosa visited the Club. Jay Zimmer.
In 2004, Interact first went abroad - in Lodz (Poland), Interact members participated in the creation of a local club.
From October 22 to 30, 2011, 8 Interact members visited their fellow club members in Jelenia Góra, a Polish city in western Poland, where they took part in the Interact conference.

In the summer of 2012, the Interact team spent 10 days in Sevastopol, where they studied leadership and had a rest.
In 2012-2013, Interact participated in the RYLA project with a club from Haifa, Israel.
From October 16 to 21, 2016, 6 Interact members took part in the first International Conference Interact in the Service of Peace, held in the Polish city of Karpacz. The conference was attended by Interactivists from Poland, Ukraine, Israel and Germany.
In the spring of 2018, Interact participated in the conference for the second time in this Polish town.
In the spring of 2019, Anastasia Shpak participated in the first International Youth Debate held in Tel Aviv with the assistance of Rotary Israel.
Anastasia Shpak and Maksym Matsyboka participated in RYLA training seminars.
The club is recruiting new members from among Cherkasy school students aged 12-17. To receive an invitation to a club meeting, you should contact the club president (see above). Students from other Cherkasy schools can be members of Interact.
Interact members have preferences for participation in Rotary youth exchanges.
In 2015-2016, Tetiana Hnatenko studied in the United States under this program.
In the academic year 2024-2025, three Interact members will be in the United States on the Rotary Youth Exchange Program
From September 2016 to February 2017, Steven Lane, an American from Pennsylvania, studied at the PGM and was a member of the Club.
On April 7, 2013, the Cherkasy Center and Jelenia Goura-Ceplice signed a cooperation agreement.
